Modern vehicles have evolved beyond mechanical locks and ignition keys. Today’s automobiles increasingly rely on intelligent systems that enhance convenience and safety. Overview of Keyless Entry System

The keyless entry system allows the driver to unlock and lock the car doors without inserting a traditional key. Instead, it uses a remote control device (commonly known as a key fob) that communicates with the vehicle wirelessly. When the driver approaches the car with the fob in close range, the system detects its presence and automatically authorizes access.

Once inside the car, the driver can start the engine by pressing a button — no physical key rotation is necessary. This feature is tightly integrated with the keyless system and requires the fob to be inside the cabin.

To prevent unnecessary battery drain, both the car and the key fob operate in low-power standby modes and only become fully active when interaction is likely. Additionally, the system includes anti-theft features like engine immobilizers, which prevent the vehicle from starting without the correct authentication.
